To safely protect the developed technology at a pharmaceutical 

company, mostly experienced Intellectual Property (IP) professionals in the life science industry are attracted. Previous experience at other pharmaceutical companies or at general IP offices active in the life science industry, and being an European or US patent attorney is usually required for these positions. Litigation, freedom to operate or out licensing experience can also be important requirements. As pharmaceutical companies are collaborating even more with other biotech companies external screening and due dilligence skills are becoming more important.
